COVIA Home Match Program
Home Match Contra Costa County helps connect homeowners with people seeking an affordable place to live. Homeowners benefit from additional income, companionship, or help with chores such as grocery shopping, pet care, or transportation. Home seekers of all ages who live, work, or study in Contra Costa County benefit from affordable rent and the opportunity to become part of a community. Home Match connects people based on lifestyle and interests to ensure compatibility. Our staff screens applicants through interviews, background checks, and home visits. Staff also helps design a comprehensive Living Together Agreement and continues to work with both parties, even after the match is made, offering on-going support. Neighborhood Preservation Program
Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley has partnered with Contra Costa County’s Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP) to offer home repair grants and loans up to $70,000 to low income homeowners. Mobile homes are only eligible for grants while single family homes may qualify for grants or loans. Habitat makes repairs that directly impact a homeowner’s health, safety, and quality of life. Eligible repairs in this jurisdiction include but are not limited to: Plumbing, Electrical, Heating & Cooling, Foundation, Roofing, Windows and Doors, Insulation, Exterior/Interior Paint, Flooring, Water Heaters, Lead Abatement, Accessibility Improvements. Trinity Center
Trinity Center serves meals, provides shower and laundry facilities, clothing and food pantry, access to mail and phone. Staff members post job opportunities and assist with locating County resources that address addiction and other challenges. Clients are connected to ongoing benefits such as medical, SSI/SSDI, housing resources, and Cal Fresh (Food Stamps). The fellowship of sharing meals, substance use support groups, and helping others similarly distressed are the softer side of this vibrant program. Catholic Charities East Bay
Helping with one time mortgage, rent or deposit payments and housing placement. If you are at risk of locing your current housing, are 55 or older and need to move to more stable housing. Click here for program flyer.
