Pleasant Hill Senior Center Code of Conduct
The Pleasant Hill Senior Center is committed to serving the residents of Pleasant Hill, as well as those of surrounding cities. It is a center for adults, ages 50 and above who are welcome to participate in recreation, socializing, education, fitness, and many other helpful services. Staff and volunteers are always available to assist at any time.
- Treat everyone with respect.
- Abusive, obscene, threatening, harassing, insulting, intimidating, or suggestive language (written or said) is not allowed.
- Fighting and/or physical abuse; actual or threatened violence toward any individual or group will not be tolerated.
- Persons under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs will be asked to leave.
- Smoking cigarettes, cigars, or marijuana (or other drugs) is not allowed on PHSC/PHRPD property.
- Weapons of any kind on PHSC/PHRPD property are not allowed.
- Removal of PHSC/PHRPD property or funds from the premises is not allowed.
- The Senior Center does not provide sleeping accommodations. Lying outstretched, sleeping on the furniture or the floor is not allowed.
- Promotion of or engaging in any illegal activities, bullying, or taking unfair advantage of any participant will not be tolerated.
- Circulating a petition or survey, selling of goods, selling tickets for an organization or event, soliciting for an organization or event are not allowed. These activities must have the approval of the Senior Manager.
- Shoes and appropriate attire must be worn while inside the building.
- Don’t leave personal items unattended. Excessive personal belongings are not allowed in the Center.
- Restrooms are not to be used for bathing, shaving, or washing clothes.
- Service animals (as defined by federal & state laws) are allowed in the Center; and they must be under control.
- Failure to follow any PHRPD policy, procedure or cooperating with a supervisor will result in being asked to leave.
