VOLKER STRIFLER BAND

Award-winning, eclectic & original blues
The Volker Strifler Band is an extraordinary group of musicians!  With Volker Strifler on guitar and vocals, Gary Silva on drums, Don Bassey on bass, David Schrader on saxophone, Carl Bowers on trombone, and "Chip" Roland Condon on keyboards, they conjure up a seductive mixture of old and new styles and hard-to-find originality. Strifler marries enough blues styles to grab the casual listener by the throat and reconsider the form. From upbeat dance songs to down-home back porch blues, Strifler amply validates he is a man to be reckoned with.

LAVA

High energy Latin rhythms & salsa
What separates Lava from other Latin bands is their ability to play many styles of Latin music. The band Lava is a rainbow of Latin music, meaning they are able to go from Latin Jazz to Cha- Cha-Cha to Latin Rock to Latin Funk and even to Salsa. Lava’s goal is simple—to take you away form the daily stress we all go through and to have a good time. Lava has been greatly influenced by, and covers a certain number of songs from such artists as Santana, Poncho Sanchez, Malo, Gato Barberri, and the horn section from Tower of Power. With the cast of musicians now playing with Lava, listening to them will simply move your spirit to dance!!!
