HONORING NICOLA PLOWMAN
THE PLEASANT HILL RECREATION & PARK DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS DOES FIND:
Nicola maintains a cumulative G.P.A. of 4.13 and participates in several extracurricular activities such as Cross Country for four years, Track and Field for three years, Leadership, Youth in Government, piano lessons since elementary school, participated in the Certificate of Merit for Piano, Amnesty International (Publicity Chair in her Sophomore year and Treasurer for her Senior year), Link Crew, serves as Co-News editor for College Park’s Claw Newspaper; and

Nicola has volunteered as a member of the Pleasant Hill Teen Council for two years and is this year’s Publicity Chair, she has assisted with Vitas Hospice Care, Rodgers Ranch Round-up summer camp, the Band Boosters’ Crab Feed and helped serve three years at local schools and parks with her Cross Country team; and

She has received many honors including North Coast Scholar Athlete for Cross Country, Academic Letter, California Scholarship Federation, National Piano Guild District Winner, Academic Excellence Award for Golden State Exam in first year Algebra, Who’s Who Among American High School Students, Distinguished Student Award, plus she received a PTA Scholarship; and

the Board of Directors and staff of the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District hereby honor Nicola Plowman for her outstanding contributions to the District and the community and will honor her at the Soroptimist Youth Recognition Night on April 7, 2005.
