RESOLUTION 2005-03-10A
HONORING SERINA TABARA
THE PLEASANT HILL RECREATION & PARK DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS DOES FIND:
Serina maintains a 3.85 G.P.A. at College Park High School and with her D.V.C. courses a 3.93 G.P.A. She has also scored high S.A.T. scores with the highest score possible in the Math portion; and

Serina participates in extracurricular activities at school including: PTSA Leadership Representative, Member of California Scholarship Federation (Vice President), Leadership, WASC Focus Group, Cross Country team for two years and Link Crew; and

She has involved herself in her community by volunteering for the Pleasant Hill Teen Council for the past three years and is this year’s Ex-Officio Member of the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District’s Board of Directors; and she has also been involved with painting several senior citizen’s homes during the summer with Teens Who Care; and

Serina has received several awards including Student of the Month in 9th grade, has been nominated for Outstanding Sophomore Girl, Academic Letter and was selected as a California Math League participant and she plans on pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering; and

the Board of Directors and staff of the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District hereby honor Caitlin McCormick for her outstanding contributions to the District and the community and will honor her at the Soroptimist Youth Recognition Night on April 7, 2005.
