HONORING JIM AND RITA UTZ
THE PLEASANT HILL RECREATION & PARK DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS DOES FIND:

Jim and Rita have promoted and fostered tennis in our community for many years; and

they were very concerned about the elimination of the only lighted tennis courts in Pleasant Hill; and

Jim and Rita brought together the Pleasant Hill Tennis Club, Pleasant Hill Foundation and others to raise $40,000 of the $80,000 project to help pay for new tennis lights on four courts at College Park High School; and

Jim and Rita shared their knowledge, connections and worked with the Community and the Recreation & Park District to help bring the completed project together.

the Board of Directors and Staff of the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District hereby honor Jim and Rita Utz for their fundraising efforts for lighted tennis courts and will honor them at the dedication of new tennis lights on November 6, 2003.
