Aquatics Camps
Junior Lifeguard Camp
(11–14 yrs)
Build a valuable foundation to becoming a lifeguard and swim instructor! Learn basic water safety skills, how to prevent aquatic accidents and how to recognize hazards. Participants must be able to swim 50 yards crawl stroke with face in the water and rhythmic breathing. After completing the course, you will be eligible to provide volunteer assistance as a swim lesson aide and Junior Lifeguard during recreation swim throughout the summer (details provided during class). All participants will receive a Junior Lifeguard T-shirt.

Castle Tales Camp

Come to the land of dragons, knights, princesses, and fairies. Each day learn a new song; bring lunch for a tea party. Campers will craft their own costumes and backdrop as they learn four types of storytelling; have a puppet show; do story dances and a straight play; and learn felt board stories sequencing. Performance: last hour on Friday. Note: Children, 3.5 yrs, can register if older sibling is enrolled.

Mad Science Camp

.301 Future Geniuses – Young minds will become inspired with this hands-on science program tailored for preschool and kindergartners. Using the scientific method to uncover the mysteries of motion and energy, campers will experiment with everything from color to structures and from music to space!
.302 My First Lab – Junior Mad Scientists will explore their sense of sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch as they discover the world of creepy crawly creatures and explore the science and creatures of the sea. Campers search for fossils; participate in a mini dinosaur dig; and take a mission with Mad Science to explore the planets, moon, and stars.
.303 Let's Get Growing – Preschoolers will learn about plant life cycle, flowers, fruits, and veggies; the importance of rain, sun, soil, and the role that butterflies, bees, and ladybugs play. A class mural will reveal all they have learned.

Half-Day Camps
(4.5–10 yrs)
Spend a week enjoying the world's most popular sport in a fun, recreational environment. Learn and practice soccer skills including: dribbling, passing, receiving, and shooting. More experienced players will work on advanced dribbling moves and team tactics such as possession and combination play. Everyone is a winner as the week's fun culminates in an age-appropriate "World Cup" tournament. All participants will receive a Kidz Love Soccer jersey and soccer ball.

Join Dragonfly Designs and learn the ancient art of jewelry making from highly -trained, enthusiastic staff. Campers will learn to design their own jewelry, boosting self esteem and creativity. New jewelry-making techniques are introduced each session, including resin, stamping and dapping metal, bead strInging, crimping, copper etching, wool felted beads and more. Choose from a huge selection of hot colors, textures, and unique beads to make one-of-a kind pieces. All levels welcome.

Adventure Kids
Summer Camp
June 14–Aug. 19
(Entering grades 1–5)
Searching for adventure for your child this summer? Choose your time; sign up for part or all of this action-packed summer program. Trips, swim days, events, arts/crafts, games, sports, based on weekly themes. Activities include: Mon/Wed/Fri, weekly swim days at PH Aquatic Park; Tuesday is Wheel Day; Thursday, field trips (site is closed during trip hours). Bring lunch / drink daily; two snacks provided. REGISTRATION begins March 14; space is limited.
- Register for Full Days, 7 am–6 pm, or Rec Days, any six-hour block of time. You may sign up for one week (three days minimum) or as many weeks as fit your schedule per month. Complete a monthly enrollment form by the 15th of the month preceding attendance in order for your child to attend; you will be billed accordingly.
- Registration Packets are available at the Administration office, 147 Gregory Lane, or at the Adventure Kids Camp site: 1 Corritone Court. A $100 non-refundable fee is required upon registration and is deducted from your first month's billing.
- Fee: $47/day Full Day, 7 am–6 pm $37/day Rec Day, any six-hour block of time.
Note: Rec Day students attending only the three-day minimum requirement will be charged an additional $12/week for swim day.

.301 Secret Agent Lab – The Secret Agent Camp is a journey into the world of detection, spy science, and forensics. Campers examine scientific spy tools made famous by the world's greatest spies! Reconstruct activities using the science of cryptology to send and decode secret messages. Follow in Sherlock's steps to learn what tracks can tell us! Help the Mad Science Bureau of Investigations to foil a burglary using state-of-the-art security techniques!
.302 Flight Academy – Learn celestial navigation and discover the wonders of the Milky Way. See how air and wind affect kites, hot air balloons, and parachutes. Discover basic rocketry, the stages of rocket flight, and experiment with huge water rockets. Build a rocket that you can launch. Take-homes include the new Mad Science Skyblazer rocket, a rubber band-powered airplane, a kite, a boomerang, a mini flying disc, a propeller-driven space orbiter and more!
.303 World Scientists – Learn the tools and techniques that scientists use while conducting hands-on projects. World Scientists will conduct solar experiments, explore predator and prey relationships and investigate food webs. Take a trip into the ocean to learn what on odantacete is. Even make your own paper! Learn animal adaptations and create an insect habitat. Discover what Mr. Owl had on his dinner plate during the famous owl pellet dissection.

Project Rock Band Camp

Kids join together for fun and music making in a no experience necessary Rock Band! This is a great way for kids to learn the fundamentals of Guitar, Piano, Drums, Bass, Keyboard and Vocal. Student s will be introduced to and play each instrument in a supportive team environment. Popular songs have been made easy for students to assure success and fun while playing in a real Rock Band. All instruments and equipment are provided on our Village Music School stage.

Teen Scene Extreme Summer Camp

Experience an extreme and fun summer with this camp! Each Monday will include an exciting group project. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday are filled with exciting trips full of fun. Thursdays include a potluck BBQ and swimming at Pleasant Hill Aquatic Park. Bring a snack, lunch and water unless specified by the Program Leaders. Trips are subject to change. Emergency Waiver required first day of camp.

COUNSELORS-IN-TRAINING
(Entering Grades 7–10) (3 weeks)
Get the skills and experience needed for recreation leadership by learning the basics and applying them hands on. After completion of training classes, you will be interviewed for one of our summer camp volunteer positions. Volunteer positions require a four-week commitment to assist staff for 9–15 hours / week at varying camp sites, program hours, and excursions. Certificates are given on successful completion of program. Site transportation is the participant's responsibility for summer. Summer programs begin June 14.
