Cross Country
Cross country athletes train at Lafayette Reservoir, September to November, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 4:45 to 6 p.m. at Lafayette Reservoir. Club dues are $165.

Originally Friends of Rodgers Ranch, Rodgers Ranch Heritage Center formed in 1991 to raise money for the restoration of the Rodgers Ranch site including the 1860s farmhouse and wheat barn. The 2.1 acre property, is owned by the Pleasant Hill Recreation and Parks Department and is open to the public on Thursday mornings between 9 a.m. and noon by appointment. Many volunteer opportunities are available for our committees and as docents.

PHBA is a volunteer organization, offering community baseball and softball for about 1,700 boys 4 to 16 yrs and girls 4 to 17 yrs, playing on 120+ teams. Boys' Pony Baseball and Girls' Softball Season runs March through June. Travel leagues run through summer, Fall Ball through November. Fees (per family) are $160 per one player and $140 per 2nd child. Registration is held in November and early December.

Paso Nogal Park is an off-leash public park, however dog owners are asked to donate $30 per family per year. This fee helps with improvements and pays the expenses necessary to keep the park open. Dogs under 25 pounds can enjoy the small-dog area.

Commission volunteers are needed to organize the 2012 Fourth of July celebration. A great way to make new friends and get connected in your community. We meet once a month for 1 to 2 hours and have loads of fun on the 4th. The day begins with the Firecracker 5k Fun Run and continues with the downtown parade, free kids games and activities at Pleasant Hill Park while listening to live music, and ends with fireworks at College Park High School. We are always looking for fresh ideas.

Pleasant Hill Martinez Soccer Association (PHMSA) is the local soccer region operating under the nation-wide banner of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO). PHMSA provides nearly 2,400 players ages 4 1 per 2 to 19 years the opportunity to play soccer each Fall. Registration takes place in March/April. (Players may be able to late register, if there is room for additions, through late August.). PHMSA is an all-volunteer organization committed to providing a world-class youth soccer program that enriches children's lives. We are the oldest, largest, and best youth soccer organization in this area and have been for nearly 30 years.

The Pleasant Hill Community Foundation was founded in 1987 to promote and support educational, recreational, cultural and other activities for people living and working in the Pleasant Hill area.

In addition to its other funds, the Foundation created the "Park Development Fund" to provide the Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District monies to develop, protect, restore, and conserve our parks.

It is organized under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax-deductible.
